Veteran actress, dancer and Member of Parliament Smt. Hema Malini released ‘In Praise of Kathak’ on Jan 30, 2015 at Samved’s Rajant Jayanti Mahotsav. Also present at the book launch were eminent artists such as senior Guru and scholar Padmabhushan Dr. Kanak Rele ji, Padmashri Dr. Sunil Kothari, Padmashri Darshana Jhaveri and Tabla maestro Pt. Nayan Ghosh. The book’s author and publisher is Uma Dogra, a senior kathak exponent from the Jaipur Gharana. It is designed by Sh.Subodh Poddar.
